Blurb:  Betsie Wolfe was a small town girl who left her cozy little life for a job in the big city. She never expected to become a witness to a murder or face vicious threats. Detective Jonah Pigg was immediately attracted to Betsie’s lavender eyes and small frame huddled in the gray wool blanket when he arrived on the scene of the murder.

When threats on Betsie's life surface, Jonah takes her into his home under the protection of the three Pigg’s who own the Pigg Agency. It will take all of his detective work to keep her safe. Passion has a way of igniting when people are in stressful situations and lust leads Betsie and Jonah into each other’s arms. But is their relationship only a matter of desire or is it something more?

Susan B. Anna’s Review

This was a fast paced, short and very confusing read for me.  I adore love at first sight scenarios, but can’t seem to grasp it in this case.  I did find a few things amusing and that in itself you can read in the contents of the blurb above.  Betsie’s last name being Wolfe and her soon to be personal detective is named Pigg, every time I came across their names I couldn’t help but chuckle and I did wish there was more than forty eight pages cause maybe then the story line could’ve been enhanced and the characters heightened a bit more as some, mainly Jonah's brothers, could've been discussed more and involved in hot relationships themselves.

Here you had the potential for an exceptional story idea if it wasn’t so fast paced, unrealistic at times and rushed.  I adore police officers, private detectives and just men who take charge in general but I wanted so much more, and most importantly needed more to make me fall head over heels over the handsomely portrayed detective.  Melissa Kier has the potential to lure you in, she just needs to ensure that all characters, plots and scenes are spaced out so the reader can remain interested.

I am glad she gave me the opportunity to read “Protecting his Wolfe,”for sending me the free file to do so, and can certainly find myself reading more of her work.

“Protecting his Wolfe” is hereby provided with “2 SATIN PILLOWS”
